VLADescu is a network content sniffer,it is currently able to recognize gif, jpeg and audio mpeg files. VLADescu listens to network traffic and picks out images and mp3s from sniffed TCP streams. It can be used on local LAN or on wireless network(if your driver supports promiscuous mode, or even better, monitor mode).

New: After more then 3 years I decided to make an installer for this popular software, from now on no need to install pcap manually (this installer takes care of everything: VLADescu installer). Also, I am presenting two new utilities: Waste-o-Meter(WasteoMeter - monitors PC/internet usage), a software that shows you how much time one wastes on the computer, and iMonitorPC (iMonitorPC - application visibility and control) a commercial spin off of wasteometer.

VLADescu is able to parse http get requests, connect to remote capture sensors and open pcap capture files.

VLADescu may be use as a privacy invasion tool, use it at your own risk.

Before run this program you need to install winpcap(only if you decide to not use the installer http://winpcap.polito.it)

VLADescu started as a windows variant of Driftnet(http://www.ex-parrot.com/~chris/driftnet/), which runs on Linux & *nix platforms.

VLADescu is a windows application (win32 application); besides the installer, it is available as an executable (vladescu.exe) or as a source code(vladescu.zip).Also, VLADescu is a good replacement of the now defunct pikachu jpeg sniffer.
